I'm a software developer who discovered I really enjoyed the process of problem-solving needed to create a working application. Since that first experience, the excitement surrounding the idea that I could one day build or be a part of a project that others will find useful has grown exponentially.The type of applications and technology that interest me the most are always utilitarian. Banking applications that allow you to transfer money from the palm of your hand, buying and printing a shipping label from home, or a group chat to stay in touch with family. These are a few of the types of products I'm most interested in building.Prior to coding, I was a professional cook, which at its core is about problem-solving and multitasking. It also taught me about teamwork, working under pressure, organization, and working with and managing a variety of different personalities.My time at Flatiron helped me further develop my skill set, building on my Associate Degree in mobile app development with the skills to design and build modern web applications.“I'm perfectly happy with all the people walking around staring at the clouds, staring at the stars, and saying 'I want to go there.' But I'm looking at the ground and I want to fix the pothole that's right in from of me before I fall in it.”
