I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Earth Sciences and a Certificate of Global Studies, also at the University of Saskatchewan. I believe in interdisciplinary learning and trying new experiences as much as possible! I love the outdoors and I would camp every day if I could - the Earth has so much to teach us! And we have so much to learn...My best work is when I can be creative and innovative.I love to meet new people - feel free to reach out! :)

Camp LeaderSt John Bosco Wilderness Camp Jul 2017 - Aug 2023Narrow Hills Provincial Park, SkThis camp plays a large role in my life. Not only has it taught me outdoors skills in the Boreal forest and Canadian Shield, but also the values of building strong relationships with others, believing in myself, and respecting the gifts of nature. In my role as a camp leader, I have led youth ages 8-17 through backcountry hiking and canoeing trips as well as summer camp activities. It is a fun and rewarding opportunity to share new experiences outdoors and has pushed me out of my comfort zone numerous times. I am glad to tell the tales and carry the spirit of Bosco wherever I go!

GeotechnicianSsr Mining Inc. Jun 2021 - Aug 2021Creighton, Saskatchewan, CanadaThroughout the summer, my role changed as the mineral exploration project progressed. I began analyzing core samples while drilling was ongoing. Following completion of core teching, I collected soil samples, assisted with mapping geological units, and prospected. This job allowed me to gain more experience in working in remote settings, as we lived and worked on Missi Island in Amisk Osakahikan (Beaver Lake). I also grew in areas of problem solving, workplace safety, and personal wellness as we worked in safe, but close proximity to Northern wildfires. I developed so much appreciation for nature, living so close to the land. In my off time, I would explore the lake, swim, fish, watch the sunset or hang out with my co-workers; I was given the unofficial title of "after supper activity coordinator". I earned my Pleasure Craft Operator’s License (Boat) as a result of this position. -
Herbicide ApplicatorKnights Spraying Inc May 2020 - Aug 2020Vermilion, Alberta, CanadaIn this role, I used my knowledge of the environment, job training, and personal judgement to determine the best approach to manage growth of noxious weeds and invasive species. We used equipment such as whipper-snippers to manually remove vegetation or applied carefully-selected herbicides using sprayers or booms. I spent most of my time outdoors, working long hours in the sun. I was also trained with UTV's, 2-ton trucks and trailers, WHMIS, bear awareness, small engine repairs, CSTS, H2S, and TDG.
