I worked as a assistant kindergarten teacher for 2 years and then was given the wonderful opportunity to be one of the the lead kindergarten teachers. I worked cooperatively with another lead kindergarten teacher and two assistant teachers. I created engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons, that developed a love of learning for many of my students. Part of teaching involved working with students with learning differences and implementing research based interventions. During my time teaching it helped grown my passion for understanding and working with children with learning differences and lead me to go to grad school, where I am currently. When I am done with my masters I plan on going back into the school setting as a special education teacher or finding an assistant clinical psychologist position. Then eventually obtaining a PhD and opening my own clinical practice.
