I am currently a PhD student in Biology at North Carolina State University, working in Dr. Becky Irwin's lab. I was employed as a research assistant at the Chicago Botanic Garden, studying the fitness of Echinacea angustifolia in fragmented tallgrass prairie habitats with Dr. Stuart Wagenius. I also managed the laboratory and the citizen scientist volunteers who worked in it. I completed a BS in Biology and Environmental Science in Spring 2019. I have conducted research in the laboratories of Dr. Harmony Dalgleish and Dr. Joshua Puzey from Fall 2016 until my graduation. I studied Asclepias syriaca, common milkweed, through field and common garden experiments examining genetic diversity and defensive signaling.
