Erin Evarts Email and Phone Number
From a very young age, I had a passion for the arts, which began to emerge when I found a knack for orchestrating friends to create wildly elaborate backyard performances. Years have passed and faces and venues have changed, but I’ve remained committed to developing, producing, and managing the arts in our community. My career has been focused in the non-profit arena, as mission-based, community-focused work is my passion. I attended Emerson College in Boston, where I learned the importance of team building, strategy, and fundraising when it comes to supporting successful arts programming. Every day, I bring to bear the lessons I learned at Emerson, the fundraising skills honed at NAMI-VT, the organizational structure and board governance I refined at Wake Robin, and the organizational leadership and volunteer management that I use to drive Lyric Theatre forward. My current role at Lyric has afforded me the chance to face challenges I would never have anticipated earlier in my career: specifically, how to help a performing arts organization adapt and thrive during a global pandemic. I believe in the power of the arts to lift communities and am deeply grateful that I get to help bring art to the greater Burlington community every day. I’m always, always happy to connect and look for ways to collaborate and amplify the work those in our community are doing. Career Highlights:-Managed inter-departmental projects including two national searches for CEO’s and Phase III Planning at Wake Robin.-Launched and ran a successful local theatre company: Neat, with a Twist. -Closed the gap to finalize Lyric’s $1.4 million dollar Capital Campaign in my first 60 days on the job.-Increased the financial stability of Lyric Theatre by diversifying our development plan, increasing grant dollars, and maintaining strong relationships with local business donors.-Worked with The City of Burlington to create 26,000 masks during Covid-19, for which Lyric received a key to the city.-Co-Produced Burlington Does Broadway with The Flynn, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, and Vermont Public for Live Broadcast on New Year’s Eve.-Created a Theatre for Young Audiences program at Lyric, bringing the arts to children in the Greater Burlington area, free of charge at local libraries. -Partnering with Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe Performing Arts, The Flynn, and Concord Theatricals to bring "The Sound of Music: In Concert" to Vermont. This performance will be a first as a concert and the first time all of these organizations have worked together.
