My passion for sustainable development and practices has led me to pursue a degree in Integrative Studies at George Mason University. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Minor in Business.During my time at George Mason I have had the opportunity to study different conservation and sustainability efforts through the curriculum I have chosen, including attending the Smithsonian Mason School of Conservation. I traveled to the Peruvian Amazon to study community based conservation by learning from the Maijuna tribe. I continued my journey and have worked in two National Parks, on 2 organic farms, as well as a bird rehabilitation center and sanctuary. I am now working as a bartender, and am activity seeking work in my field. My experiences throughout my time at University and beyond has allowed me to explore my interests and focus my energy on what inspires me. Making a difference in peoples lives is what inspires me to learn more about community and be the branch between community and nature.
