High School Counselor
Current• Supports students through individual academic advising, social emotional counseling, classroom presentations, small groups, and college and career planning.• Conducts career interest inventories with students to help students identify their strengths and develop ideas for how to effectively utilize those strengths in a career. • Leads small group guidance for a variety of intervention groups for first generation college students, academic success for minority students, overcoming anxiety, executive functioning skills, and positive decision-making.• Conducts training for parents through workshops on topics including managing college costs, course selection, financial aid, and college planning.• Created and implemented a comprehensive developmental suicide prevention program at Batavia High School. Recognized by administration for developing powerful grade-level specific programming that positively affected 2,000 students. • RAMP team member responsible for collecting and analyzing data, implementing data-driven and goal-directed programming, and writing narratives for our ASCA RAMP application.
