Erin Hutton is an art advisor, curator and the founder of Erin Hutton Projects, LLC. For more than twenty years, she has immersed herself in the art world as an artist, educator, gallery director, curator, film production assistant, and designer. Her passion for the arts, education and project management are evident throughout her career as a professional leader. Her diverse skillset and attention to detail help create an engaging work atmosphere that motivates employees and collaborators. Erin’s work ethic, professionalism and positive attitude are contagious and those that work with her share the fulfillment of forward thinking, camaraderie, and vision.As the former Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA, Erin was responsible for maintaining a high artistic and intellectual standard that reflected the ICA’s emerging national reputation as a provocative exhibition venue and as a compelling force in the creation of contemporary art and its critical discourse. In addition to providing the guiding vision for all exhibitions and public programs, she curated, coordinated, and directed all aspects of the organization and its operational teams. In addition, Erin is an independent art consultant, curator, and co-owner of Studio 24b, a design and fabrication studio located in Portland, Maine that creates public art installations, furniture projects, and custom woodworking for clients across this country. Previously, Erin worked at Diversified Business Communications, Angela Adams, Hauptman & Partners, and worked in independent film production. Erin received her BFA from the Maine College of Art.Erin lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, two children, and their dog, Lola.
