Just 4 years ago, I was working in an Indiana ice cream shop waiting to attend Purdue University with aspirations of becoming a neurosurgeon. When I came realized that dream wasn't for me, a class in Object-Oriented Programming came at just the right time, making me fall in love with computer science and I haven't looked back since. I've met some amazing people and been able to learn so many new technical and interpersonal skills.Since my entrance to the real world (or as real as it gets while still attending university), a lot of amazing experiences have come my way. - Building out machine learning models and performed fine tuning on existing ones in DeepFake and Animal Behavior research using resources like Google Colab, and libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch. - Collaborating in a major migration efforts on moving applications from on-premises servers to the cloud, becoming AWS Certified in the process. - Performing Quality Assurance and experienced first-hand the importance of maintaing documentation and coding standards. - Utilizing Agile principles to create amazing, fullstack applications with JavaScript frameworks like React and Express. - Improving latencies within databases using SQL and MongoDB. - Developing algorithms and solutions within the incredible, often frustrating, world of Data Structures and Algorithms, becoming increasingly creative in Java, C, and C++. I have been both a teacher and a student in every single one of my positions. No matter the role I play in a project or organization, I'm always learning something new, and my passion for creative problem solving seems to only increase.
