Westborough Public Schools’ BORO (Bridging Over to Right Opportunities) Program is designed for students between the ages of 18-22 who continue to be eligible for educational services and support in order for them to make a successful transition into adulthood. The BORO Program provides highly individualized programming focused on transition-related skills (independent living skills, college and career readiness, etc.) delivered in our community setting.The BORO Program is inclusive of the Sugar Shack candy and gift store; a fully-functional retail business that serves as a vocational learning lab for the students of the BORO Program.

• Administering high-level projects advocating institutional strategic vision, including those to develop new strategies to award financial scholarships and federal aid to new and returning students. • Collaboration with senior leadership, executive stakeholders, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, donors, and community partners. • Overseeing department budget, invoices, and expense reports. • Screening/interviewing/managing staff; performance evaluations, one-on-ones and payroll. • Data entry, analysis and reporting, tracking metrics. • Composing and communicating operational protocols including Armed Intruder Response. • Designing graphics and communications for marketing materials, visual presentations, website and digital bulletin boards, newsletters, press releases, and announcements. • Coordinated the merger of three offices into a unified department in a single location, oversaw physical logistics, ensured delivery of service, and facilitated staff transition. • Strategized and implemented a new front-line position to triage the increased traffic flow; responsible for managing personnel, overseeing day-to-day operations; department public relations and marketing.• Composed SOPs and best practices; created a database of FAQs to ensure response consistency and facilitate the on-boarding of new staff.• Spearheaded the institution’s multi-campus Financial Literacy program, providing money-management education and resources to 6.8K students, families, faculty, staff, and alumni; Comprehensive project management including research, development of relationships with outside partners, facilitation of interdepartmental collaboration, creation of literature, digital resources and financial tools.
