I use design to reimagine relationships, neighborhoods, power structures, and the world. My passion for design as a power-building tool comes from my experiences as both an architecture student and a community organizer. In my work with people in public housing in North Carolina, I witnessed architecture's ability not only to uplift people, but also to exclude and degrade them. As a multi-disciplinary designer and communicator I want to design experiences for people to connect beyond the traditional boundaries of race, gender, socioeconomic status, and all the other labels society assigns to us.
