Working alongside the General Manager for Product I am responsible for analysing, documenting and proposing solutions for RP Data’s product and services group. This involves the preparation of functional specifications to be used in the development of a new generation of software development and assisting in the preparation of user and system test plans.

Building on my extensive knowledge of the Wotif Group’s systems, market and competitor intelligence, customer wants and stakeholder relationships I was poached internally by our IT team to provide a greater business insight into IT projects. Working on the Accommodation platform – a key component of the Wotif Group’s systems – I helped manage the end-to-end process of delivering IT projects on time. A key aspect of my role was working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure technical solutions accurately reflect those requirements. This required remaining up to date with industry developments and managing communications with the broader business group.

Working closely with the Executive General Manager – Australia and New Zealand Business Unit my role was to assist in driving the profitability and growth of the unit through the management, collation, interpretation, analysis and presentation of customer, industry, sales, website analytics and competitor data that can be used to assist in making long term strategic and planning decisions. This encompasses flights, accommodation and other travel services offered by the Wotif Group. I was also responsible for the coordination of market research initiatives, as well as contributing business planning services to business unit projects.

In this role I was based in Wotif Group’s second largest office in Phuket, Thailand, working alongside with the Executive General Manager – Asian Business Unit. I was responsible for developing and implementing the business unit’s strategy and plan and assisting the EGM in the running and operation of the business unit.

Working closely with the Group CEO, my role was twofold and involved acting as the Group’s Assistant Company Secretary and overseeing the operations of the company’s Asia operations in the role of Asian Team Coordinator.

Working alongside the Group CEO and Wotif.com founder, my role required me to provide Wotif.com with a structured and formalised process of gathering research and data to improve service, offerings and communication. I developed systems that added the element of an answer before a decision by providing relevant, accurate and timely information to the business.

Responsibilities:• Facilitating student learning by providing practical examples based on my pervious studies as well as work experience in a retail store; and• Leading classes and students in order to assist in their development of necessary skills for the workplace or subsequent research.
