About Erin Dillon
►WHY I DO WHAT I DOAs a small child, I lived in a rural area until my junior year in high school. Our new community was more affluent and the difference in the quality of my education was stark. I was top of my class at my previous school, but at my new school, I was behind and struggled to keep up in my classes. I had to work twice as hard. I realized the quality of public education in our country was very different based on an individual’s zip code. As I did more research, I realized just how true this has been historically for people of color and low socio-economic status in our country. From then on, I’ve been committed to doing my part to change that reality. ►WHAT I DO BEST• Defining project scope and creating best practices for L&D, Change Management, Data Analysis, and Project Management.• Conceptualizing and implementing programs, models, and services comprised of creative stories and engaging content for effective presentations.• Leading cross functional relationship development initiatives to improve connection and communication with management, teams, and the community. • Planning, tracking, monitoring, and measuring KPIs to advance initiatives. • Improving culture, impact, product quality, collaboration, and adoption of policies.►CORE SPECIALITIESOrganizational Development, Coaching, Service & Support, Goal Attainment, Communication Strategies, Project Management, Data Analysis, Professional Development, Educational Consulting, Collaboration, Problem Solving, Process Management, Procedure Development, Small Group Facilitation, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. ►THE ONE THING I ENJOY MOST ABOUT MY JOBGiving students, especially those from historically marginalized populations, an excellent education that helps them succeed and find careers of influence and power to create change in our society. ►I’M BEST KNOWN FORBeing a caring leader who has compassion for students. I get things done, listen to stakeholders, create systems and workflow that save time and lead to results. I believe in being consistent and clear in how I communicate. ►ABOUT ME PERSONALLYFamily is incredibly important to me. I spend a lot of time with my wife and 2 sons. I also love basketball and play when I can (ask me about winning a free throw competition at an NBA Charlotte Hornets game). I’m obsessed with Coach K and Duke basketball. I grew up singing in church and in show choirs and was once a finalist in a radio contest with 3 friends. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, and reading. ►CONTACT MEBest way to reach me is at dillon.em@gmail.com
