My passion: Making a difference in peoples' lives. While this may sound cliché, I recognize that it takes many forms for different people. For me, making a difference at this time in my life consists of advocacy-related initiatives that maintain high standards of patient care and patient safety. If my efforts have the potential to save a human life, no matter how many degrees of separation between myself and that person, I will do it. My background: A native Arizonan who has successfully navigated east coast and Midwest winters. After earning my undergraduate degree in psychology (and completing a fascinating course on the intersection between psychology and the law), I completed law school. I am licensed to practice law in Arizona, Illinois and Washington, D.C.My current role: As the senior manager of the State Affairs team, I work collaboratively with my team and other divisions on a daily basis to provide legislative/regulatory analyses and advocacy resources to our members nationwide. Through these resources, I am able to demonstrate quantifiable goals and accomplishments. My strengths include organization, legislative/regulatory analysis, project management, and producing a concise, accurate work product.My future: I recently completed my MBA at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. The leadership and management skills I learned through this program have enabled me to begin the lifelong journey of becoming a values-based leader. With humility and the recognition that I still have a lot to learn in this world, I continue to strive for goals that challenge me and help me grow.
