Proficient in acquiring and processing multibeam and side scan sonar data from hydrographic surveys. Assisted the Wetlands Branch with both lab and field work including surveying wetlands using Trimble survey/GPS equipment, operating two isotope ratio mass spectrometers (IRMS), collecting and processing water samples for chlorophyll-a analysis on a fluorometer and nutrient analysis on an auto-analyzer (Astoria Pacific), programming and deploying Solinst water level loggers, installing monitoring wells and piezometers, measuring soil respiration via infrared gas analyzer, processing sediment samples for bulk property analysis, preparing solutions and reagents, running samples on a gas chromatograph (GC), data entry and management (MS Excel), and seining in estuaries for juvenile fish.

Acted as crew member/deckhand on 80' Schooner Aquidneck which operates day trips on Narragansett Bay.

Based on Prudence Island, RI for the summer season of 2010 working on in environments including Narragansett Bay, salt marshes, and Pine Barrens. Responsibilities included surveying salt marsh surface elevations using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS and Trimble GeoXT GPS units, monitoring salt marsh hydrology and vegetation, calibrating and deploying Aquatroll data loggers, collecting and processing sediment cores, nekton sampling, sorting benthic samples, and assisting with dataflow cruises to monitor water quality parameters in Narragansett Bay.

Primary responsiblities included sampling water for stream flow and chemical analysis, basic surveying of stream cross-sections (CST/Berger survey equipment), locating and navigating stream sampling sites in the field, and collecting stream location information with GPS units.
