Leads the outreach efforts for our team to obtain access to public and residential parcels for this project and ensuring the coordination between the outreach team and the cleanup contractor throughout the cleanup process. Tracks the outreach progress and provides daily and weekly metrics and reports to DTSC. Reviews letters of completion (LOC) to verify compliance with approved work plans and design plans and review final progress payments. Provides support to perform reviews on DTSC’s existing processes and drafting best practices and lessons learned.

Manages various materials sampling and testing projects and local agency projects, which include the Caltrans District 4 North Bay Material Testing, Bay Area Infrastructure Financial Authority I-880 Express Lanes, Bayfront Expressway Pedestrian Overcrossing Bridge (Menlo Park, CA), and South Bayfront Pedestrian Bridge (Emeryville, CA). Supervises, monitors, and directs office engineers and field inspectors assigned to the task orders and contracts, ensuring required certifications are maintained, producing monthly progress reports, managing the budget, and keeping project schedule. Coordinates material source inspections and reviews the materials submittals. Identifies the resources needed to accomplish the work and provides clear, effective, and timely recommendations to the clients. Resolves issues associated with source inspection while maintaining standards, consistency, contract schedule, and contract cost.

Assisted the Vice President of Operations with daily operations of the company, including formulating policies, managing daily operations, evaluating current systems, analyzing operations to evaluate company performance, and determining areas of potential cost reductions and program improvements. Verified compliance of the quality management system and determine the effectiveness of the policies and plans. Worked directly with the managers to ensure daily operations run efficiently for all the projects in the company.

Worked on establishing, updating and implementing the quality management system for the California High Speed Rail Project. Performed program and project audits to ensure deliverables met the quality requirements and satisfied regulatory requirements. Assisted in assembling and reviewing the monthly invoices and tracking the project budget and burn rate using the Deltek Vision financial system. Helped manage the contract administrative tasks for the team and coordinate the deliverables to make sure that they are completed by the deadlines.

Provided materials management and engineering services during construction of the Caltrans $6.2 billion San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge project. Assisted in researching and monitoring the large scale investigation and testing program for the high strength anchor rods used on the bridge. Performed research, investigative studies, and analysis on complex steel construction issues such as the electroslag welding of the tower base of the Self-Anchored Suspension (SAS) span. Reviewed repair procedures and analyzed hardness testing of welds on both the SAS orthotropic box girder and tower. Single point-of-contact between the Office of Structural Materials and Construction for project closeout issues and concerns.

Worked on Caltrans funded project Seismic Design Guidelines of Retaining Walls with/without Sound Wall, managed experimental testing of project at Englekirk Structural Engineering Center in UC San Diego (large outdoor shake table), analyzed and processed data from experimental testing

Drafted residential and commercial buildings, analyzed vertical and lateral loads of buildings, indicated shear walls and holdowns using vertical and lateral analysis for wood structures

Assisted in the AutoCAD conceptual drawings of proposed marine terminal wharves and container yard projects, worked on plans showing locations of strong motion instrumentation installed at various wharves as part of California Seismic Motion Instrumental Program (CSMIP), and analyzed settlement of crane rails at marine terminal facility
