Multiple units and positions within the health care field administratively, human resources management, career management as well as day to day operations in the military medical field.

I assist the Medical Administration Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) with Brigade medical readiness. (i.e., deploy ability of soldiers, vaccinations, dental, and physical readiness). In charge of over 3,500 soldiers medical readiness. I Plan and coordinate all Brigade Medical Missions (i.e., the stand-by 2 year FEMA mission to deploy the 301st MEB HHC - Headquarters Company - within 96 hours of a natural disaster within the United States). I Create, manipulate, and maintain multiple excel spreadsheets with Soldiers medical information, medical procedure follow up as well as medical history. Also track and update soldiers Medical Evaluation Boards, Fit for Duty Boards and Line of duty investigations; currently 24. I Create sick call policy and procedures for the Brigade alongside the Brigade Surgeon.

My responsibilities included managing 3 to 15 soldiers monthly. I processed paperwork i.e. applications for Physical exams, dental exams and immunizations. I also was a career manager and helped over 200 soldiers guide their career in the right direction for promotion as well as into a field of work they wanted to be in. I assist in managing and tracking medical boards and fit for duty boards for the soldiers in my Brigade. Lastly I continually work on my units MRC (Medical Readiness Compliance) to ensure we have the most medically ready unit within our Brigade.

My duties included assisting in the management of officers in the Army Reserves in WA, ID, OR, MT, WY, HI, AK, Korea, Saipan, Japan, Guam and America Samoa, ranked 2LT to LTC as well as WO1-CW4, approximately 2,000. I informed these officers of what to do in their careers and how to get promoted to their next rank i.e. reviewing all the documents in their records that go up to the board, looking at DA photos and meeting one on one to answer questions that arise as boards come up. I updated approximately 700 soldier’s records in preparation for their promotion boards. I gave officer career management briefs within our area of operation, which includes Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and the Pacific Rim; covering over 5,000 miles.
