Primary Function: Responsible for supervising the Community Relations staff, and developing and delivering marketing campaigns and materials through a variety of media to keep the residents of Cumberland County informed and aware of the library’s services, programs, and resources. This position also supports the Division Manager of Marketing and Communications in facilitating internal staff communications and fundraising.Duties and responsibilities include: * Coordinates a broad communication program by developing system wide communication plans for library services, programs, promotions, special events, and public awareness campaigns. Oversees the production and dissemination of information to the public and staff. schedules and manages advertising, writes press releases, takes photographs, edits, proofreads materials, and supports fundraising efforts. * Supervises the Community Relations staff to lead a cohesive team with varying levels of participation and responsibilities. Conducts employee evaluations and offers frequent constructive feedback to improve content created by the department. * Identifies emerging communication trends and recommends the implementation of communications channels for library promotion. Supervises the development of quality promotional materials and digital content.

Duties and responsibilities include:• Develop a Marketing Committee to assist with the planning, evaluation, and overall direction of the marketing, public relations and communication goals and strategies• Work closely with the Resource Development and Community Impact leaders to create a comprehensive and cohesive approach to the marketing, public relations, and communication goals of the organization.• Participate fully on the Senior Management Team to help direct overall strategic planning and decision-making for the organization.• Develop and implement a comprehensive year-round marketing, public relations and communications plan that differentiates the United Way brand, builds relationships with key audiences, and works to position United Way as a community impact organization.• Develop, execute, and coordinate special events that promote the United Way brand, foster a better understanding of United Way, provide media attention, attract volunteer involvement, provide recognition for UWSWA, donors, and companies, and raise funds and/or visibility• Serve as spokesperson for the organization, including representing the organization in the community, as needed.• Assure communications, public relations, marketing, and social media activities are in accordance with the policies, principles, and procedures, and are within budget.• Oversee design/production and quality of all print, electronic, and audio/visual material. • Responsible for the writing of articles and speeches as related to media and organizational events.• Plan and manage the design/development of the United Way website, including content, graphics, and other components as needed.• Supervises Marketing and Communication interns; manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team.

Duties include mentoring student-athletes that are at-risk academically in various subjects ranging from mathematics and science to liberal arts, preparing student-athletes for tests, helping students understand assigned readings and source materials, aiding in the improvement of student’s critical thinking and writing skills, and giving students the tools and confidence necessary to build good study skills in order to succeed in the classroom.

Duties included leading two discussion sections each semester, constructing a course syllabus, assigning class readings and paper topics, preparing students for exams, grading assignments, facilitating discussions, aiding students in comprehending source materials.
