Olympic Dam - Mine

• Transferred within UGL from the process area contract to the underground/mine end contract.• Project Management of construction projects to excess of $3M• Front end loading of projects before handover to construction team then monitoring and analysis of construction progress.• Consulting with stakeholders and others on developing a range of project management related plans and documents, including Safety Management Plans and Inspection & Testing Plans.• Negotiating solutions to new and emerging issues• Delegating roles and responsibilities to team for the implementation of project plans• Analysing data and evaluating the effectiveness of systems• Calculating resource requirements and acquiring third party resources as needed• Management of third party resources, including setting up basic Service Level Agreements and monitoring metrics.• Performing cost benefit analyses as well as assessing and managing risk • Solving complex and non-routine difficulties• Developing quality assurance process and applying appropriate techniques and tools to ensure all BHP Billiton and Australian Standards are adhered to• Planning and managing projects in respect to time, cost, quality and resources• Undertaking contingency planning and integrating all project processes• using electronic communication devices and processes such as internet, intranet, email, to produce written correspondence and reports• Build Project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 Project Management software
