As the Chief Financial Officer at Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss LLC (a global leader in value investing), I have the primary responsibility for the organization’s accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of the company's financial activities. I work closely with the CEO, Executive Committee, and international parent company to manage BH’s short- and long-term financial strategy and achieve its business plan.But, one does not start as a CFO. Since girlhood, I have always enjoyed and thrived with numbers, organization and detail. Even in grade school, I determined that accountancy would be a good fit. I began college with this expectation, and I did not waver. I graduated summa cum laude with a double major in accounting and finance.My career since college graduation has continued that focus on accounting and finance. From PwC to Highside Capital Management (a hedge fund) to Barrow Hanley (an investment management co), I have been able to hone my skills such that the joy I obtain from numbers, detail and organization are also assets to the companies for which I work.
