Human Resources Manager
CurrentPlan, coordinate, and perform diverse human resource functions for the company including: Assist management with staffing needs for DOE contracts. Conduct and oversee recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel including working with recruiters to track candidate status, ensure all required interview paperwork is complete, extend offers, process on-boarding paperwork, new hire orientation training, and complete E-verify. Work with management team to develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures as well as ensuring personnel comply with those policies. Responsible for Federal and State law compliance pertaining to all personnel matters (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, SCA, Employment Eligibility, etc.).Provide employee relations counseling to mangers including documenting employee concerns, and assisting management in developing resolutions to personnel issues/labor relations including documentation of events, and determination and execution of employment termination/layoff. Assisted in ensuring positive employee relations by conducting frequent site visits to projects. Developed Workplace Substance Abuse Program for local office including creation implementation and execution of program. Oversee new employee orientation including diversity and sexual harassment training. Prepare and submit all paperwork in relation to employee actions such as merit increases, bonuses, promotions, status changes, and terminations. Oversee maintenance of Human Resources records and ensure confidentiality of those. Responsible for submission of required local reports relating to Human Resources matters (EEO, Affirmative Action, etc.) as well as reports required by client and Department of Energy. Responsible for compiling responses including facts and statements for all EEOC charges that are received by my division of the company. Field questions and concerns from personnel on any Human Resource related needs including benefit and compensation questions
