Main Street America leads a movement that advances shared prosperity through place-based economic development and community preservation in commercial corridors in big cities, small towns, and everything in between.

Erin, along with Brandon Whitney and Cassie Flynn, is one of three co-founders of ioby, or In Our Backyards. ioby gives leaders the ability to organize all kinds of capital—cash, social networks, in-kind donations, volunteers, advocacy— to build real, lasting change from the ground up. ioby mobilizes neighbors who have great ideas to become powerful citizen leaders who plan, fund and make positive change in their own neighborhoods. We are creating a future in which our neighborhoods are shaped by the powerful ideas of our neighbors. So far, ioby has helped neighborhoods leaders raise more than $4.5 million in small donations. Since lasting change takes more than just money, we also help leaders recruit volunteers, grow and strengthen support networks, connect with local decisionmakers, and start conversations around key issues in their communities that lead to long-term, broad-scale change.
