Learning has always been a priority in my life. I'm most happy in a classroom, in a lab, or curled up with a good book to help expand the frontiers of my knowledge.I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying Genetics, Genomics, and Biotechnology with a minor in Spanish. I also work as a Hazardous Waste Technician for the university, which has allowed me to get a glimpse into many of the research labs on campus. It's incredible to see my peers and mentors pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge each and every day.I have a keen interest in genetic and biological research, specifically in developing cures for genetic diseases. I am also fascinated by linguistics and learning new languages, and acquired fluency in Spanish during eighteen months of volunteer service in Northern California.
