I am a seasoned project and product manager with just over two decades of experience in web and software UX design, search engine optimization, content management, backend, and marketing. I have worked on notable products such as .Mac, .Me and iCloud as a senior engineering project manager at Apple Inc, and managed website builds for EA Games and Nintendo while employed with Blast Radius Digital Marketing. A pioneer in the app industry, I managed the first iPad app for Ebay and for NPR while working for Strobe Inc, a start up that was then acquired by Facebook (now Meta.)With an eclectic web background that includes online comics and animation through to running international teams for heavily used online games, I have a proven track record of building successful projects that meet the needs, and exceed the expectations of my clients. Including my community building experience in the accessibility space, I have created knowledge management spaces and helped improve access through advocacy. Having worked across a range of industries including government, film, television, gaming, advertising and software, I have used a wide array of process and tools, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. My personal philosophy on management is to individually tailor process, communication and tracking per product/project, just as you would want someone to treat you as an individual while working on a team. I love people and figuring out what motivates them to build great products and achieve fantastic things. I feel very strongly that proper communication and a little empathy goes a long way in getting teams to create great works.
