About Erin Rogers

I'm a founding co-director of the Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice--a re-granting intermediary that makes grants to groups accelerating both an equitable transition to clean energy alongside a phase-out of dirty energy across the US South. Our strategic and feminist approach to justice has helped the Hive Fund become a transformative bridge between money and movements. Prior to working with the Hive Fund, I led the Hewlett Foundation’s US climate change grant-making for eight years, shifting it toward greater emphasis on equity and building broad political will for deep and rapid transition away from fossil fuels in ways that improve health and prosperity for all. Before entering the world of philanthropy, I spent a few decades working as an activist and advocate at a series of non-profits in Texas and California.
