I am a lead producer and director with The Seeing Place, which I co-founded in 2009. I manage the business side of the company, including marketing, development, public relations, social media, and grantwriting. I mentor our members in these areas so they can become fully trained and well-rounded theater-makers. I also act in many of the productions, and direct at least one play per year.Our name "The Seeing Place" is the literal translation of the Greek word for theater (theatron):". . . the place where we go to see ourselves."In our social justice work, we focus on historically (and currently) excluded communities including women, immigrants, LGTBQIA+, Global Majority (BIPOC), and people will disabilities/chronic illnesses. We have raised thousands of dollars for fellow social justice orgs and collaborate with community leaders to make live theater more accessible to all.

That's why I have been committed to helping actors learn the ins-and-outs of owning their acting business so that they can feel completely empowered on their career path. As Director of Communications: Responsible for increasing the organization’s visibility in the community and effectively communicating information internally to members and externally to the community at large, including: developing program guidelines; acting as press agent; composing two weekly email newsletters to list of 700+ people; designing/maintaining website; and creating promotional literature.
