I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Deviance. While there, I worked as a teaching assistant, and developed a senior paper on the growth of restorative justice as an alternative to traditional criminal punishments after working with Restorative Justice of Minnesota.I have also volunteered with the Amicus organization, working in their One-to-One program. This program paired me with an inmate, with whom I interacted and visited to keep her spirits up and her goals set. It gave me a personal look at how people experience the penal system.I attended and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law. My focus was criminal law, and also had interest in family law. I also worked as a student attorney with the First Judicial Public Defender's office.I currently work for the YMCA of the North in the Customer Service department as a senior customer account specialist. My main focuses deal with customer service and accounts receivables for childcare services; my newest responsibilities include working with county childcare and other third-party agencies that offer childcare assistance to families who need a little extra help. I also have worked with daily deposits for the full Association office.
