Behind my employee badge, there’s a Marvel card with a picture of Black Panther and the words “more connects us than separates us”. That belief has helped guide me through more than a decade of healthcare experience. Over time, I’ve learned a few things: • Listening hard and asking (lots of) questions helps me to figure out what people really need. • I don’t know everything. In fact, sometimes I know nothing.• We—as in all the people and pieces of this healthcare system—can do better for the patients, families, and communities who encounter us daily. I want to help us keep changing for good.
