I use data and creativity to help people fall in love with brands. I have enjoyed many positions in my career that have taught me that:1) Storytelling is a true passion of mine. It’s how I started my career—as news editor of my college paper and later as a career journalist following the facts and the police scanner to uncover storylines in cities and courtrooms. In the roles that followed, storytelling has been a powerful skill that I weave into how I work. 2) I thrive on variety.3) I’m always on a quest to learn more and innovate professionally. I always look at the marketing data and test, test, and test again.4) I never assume—questions are important.In my free time you can usually find me outdoors hiking, kayaking, and chasing kids at the beach. If you are lucky, you’ll get an invite to my kitchen where I am always figuring out what to do with all the goodies from the garden and, as my kids like to say, “freelancing” because I’m not one to follow a recipe completely as written.
