Work involves sub-culturing cells, measuring tension generation around a wound and the effects of growth factors on dermal equivalent tissues. Responsible for training other research assistants in proper lab protocol and techniques. Presented research at Oklahoma Research Day 2018, 2019 and 2020, the National Conference for Undergraduate Research in 2018 and 2019, the 2018 Biomedical Engineering Society National Meeting, the 2019 Tri-Center Symposium and the 2019 Oklahoma Academy of Science Technical Meeting.

Intern position appointment to the Department of Energy (DOE) Visiting FacultyProgram (VFP) at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). Duties included writing programs, running simulations and visualizing the results of a computational flagellum model in a fluid environment using resources at the National Energy Research Supercomputer Center (NERSC). Performed implementation of the immersed boundary method in an AMReX-based in-compressible flow solver in order to model beating flagella and flagella-driven swimming cells. Programming languages used included Fortran, Python, C and C++.. Responsible for weekly updates to higher management, presentations both written and oral.

Responsibilities include sample preparations, procedure verification for sample testing, chemical Inventory and safety handling procedures. Upon request we also perform quality control and composition analysis testing on both company and vendor products

Intermittent intern position to gain familiarity with the prosthetic field. Worked in the lab and in the patient area. Observed measurements and design parameters, casting of the prosthetic molds, selection of mechanical portion of prosthetic, assembly and fitting of a prosthetic leg for new patients.
