I realized this goal by going beyond my job description. As the sales manager, it made sense for me to work on generating maximum revenue across multiple channels. But I also took it upon myself to lower production costs. After some research and tough negotiations, I established alternate raw materials sources and saved 20% on stainless steel.Due to top- and bottom-line efforts, our first year was profitable.
