I direct the Outreach program at the Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences at OHSU. My team is responsible for translating faculty research into practice to improve worker heath, safety, and wellbeing in Oregon and beyond. We fulfill our mission through communication and knowledge dissemination, product and tool development, practitioner education, implementation partnerships, and consultation. I also serve as principal investigator of the Respectful Workplace Initiative, a partnership with Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry and Oregon Department of Transportation to standardize respectful workplace practices throughout Oregon's construction industry.

Led multiple consulting projects aligning career technical education (CTE) with industry skill standards and labor market demand. Clients included Oregon Department of Education, Portland Public Schools, and Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission.

Led all aspects of innovation district start-up. Assembled pay-to-play board of directors, developed strategic vision and plan, convened private and public stakeholders, served as IQ spokesperson.

Appointed by Governor Kate Brown to serve as Chair of the Oregon Innovation Council. Oregon Inc. is the state of Oregon's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment Platform.

Built and led portfolio connecting PSU to region's largest business, civic and higher education institutions. Strategic partners included Intel, PGE, OHSU, and Daimler. Developed strategy and provided leadership for PSU's innovation and entrepreneurship agenda, PSU Partnership Council, the Portland Innovation Quadrant, and a wide range of university-based economic development initiatives.

Spearheaded development of City of Portland 5-year economic development strategy with focus on traded-sector, industry clusters and neighborhood economic development. Led and completed major reorganization of agency to focus activity and investment on job creation. Led merger of region's disparate public and private economic development organizations to create region's first fully integrated, public-private economic development corporation. Led staff of 70 professionals and managed $100 million annual budget.

National economic and workforce development policy and strategy consultant to cities and regions. Clients included national foundations, chambers of commerce, regional planning organizations and state and local governments.
