I guide combat sports athletes to their authentic potential through evidence-based theory and practice.I have a master of science in sport and performance psychology as well as a black belt in jiu jitsu. I dedicated my 20's to honing my skills on the mats and competing in major competitions. While I earned accolades and paved my way in a male-dominated sport, I lacked the skills necessary to optimize and maintain mental well-being.I am now focused on helping athletes and coaches within combat sports who want to level up while staying ethical and authentic in the process.I work from an acceptance and commitment approach that uses values to guide each client to their individual success. I believe in meeting the clients where they are and adapting interventions based on their core values and goals.As Brene Brown says, "What we know matters but who we are matters more".I'm accepting new one-on-one clients via zoom from all over the world. I am also available for mental skills workshops that combine jiu jitsu and psychological flexibility.

I have extensive experience teaching seminars and workshops internationally and have accomplished many titles in the sport.I have taught hobbyists and champions and everything in between. CurrentI founded the nonprofit in 2016 and I lead a team of staff and board of directors to destigmatize mental health in the jiu jitsu community.#SubmitTheStigma was founded to normalize mental health in the jiu jitsu community. What started as a campaign to encourage communication about mental illness is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit with educational workshops, fundraising opportunities, and a strong community of ambassadors. Through our Mental Health Conscious Academy Workshop we educate academy instructors/owners/support staff on how to approach those dealing with possible mental health issues.
