Department of PathologyWorked as a part of the Stand Alone Covid-19 Testing Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University, executing up to 3,000 Covid-19 tests per day. I performed RNA extraction, qPCR testing, and analysis of saliva samples for Covid-19 mRNA detection.

Department of Anatomy and NeurobiologyWorked under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Cheer investigating underlying neurobiological mechanisms of addiction, depression, and motivated behaviors related to the endocannabinoid system and dopaminergic signaling pathways.

Worked under the guidance of Dr. Patrick Williams studying visual selective attention in Musca domestica. I assisted with the creation of a 3D-printed automated maze used to study visual behavior in house flies, learned how to modify Arduino code, assisted with data collection and analysis, and worked with others as a team.

I shadowed Dr. Rebecca Johnson in the Neuroradiology department. I observed multiple analyses of MRI scans per day and delivered her reports to the individual patients' doctors.
