I’m grateful to have the opportunity to explore options and sit with the question “what is mine to do?” in the context of the ecological and social crises globally and the United States.

Used qualitative and quantitative research methods to evaluate U.S. health care policies.

• Conducts research regarding Medicaid, the healthcare safety net, and the use of preventive services by low-income populations.• Manages and conducts secondary analyses of datasets in Stata and SAS including the National Health Interview Survey, Medicaid Drug Rebate files, and the American Community Survey.• Extensive experience collecting and analyzing data for qualitative research via key informant interviews, in-person observation, and online surveys.• Reports research findings in writing via academic manuscripts, policy briefs, and summary reports to funder and partner organizations. • Presents oral summaries of research findings at research conferences, to funders, and to project participants.

• Conducted research activities for one of four study sites for The Infant Development and Environment Study, which found that prenatal exposure to high levels phthalates is associated with altered reproductive development in male (and not female) infants.

• Composed policy briefs for the Monroe County Physical Activity and Nutrition Task Force, a New York State Department of Health funded collaboration of community partners and the Monroe County Department of Health.

• Investigated gaps in local senior transportation services through key informant interviews and literature review. • Surveyed local mental health professionals to assess levels of access to mental health care, particularly for low-income patients.

• Supported CDC funded study that compared breastfeeding rates among mothers who gave birth at a local hospital, which had implemented Baby Friendly breastfeeding promotion program, and another local hospital without this program.
