I’m the founder and spiritual director for Discerning Sobriety, a course and community exploring how to bring spirituality and mindfulness into relationships with alcohol. Discerning Sobriety helps members bring the role alcohol plays in their lives into conversation with their minds, bodies, and souls, so they can change their relationship with alcohol, become more attentive to how they drink, and/or integrate spirituality into their recovery.

I work with clients who want to change their relationship with alcohol in any way. I have experience working with people who are sober and want to maintain sobriety, people who want to cut back on their drinking, and many who want support as they change their relationship with alcohol, even if they don’t know what that means yet. I work with clients to create a personalized plan based on the person’s hopes for their mind, body, and soul. Often, these desires change, and the plan can change with you as you grow in the knowledge of how you want to care for that mind, body, and soul. Coaching packages include weekly meetings for 4 weeks and the gift of meeting every week is you change your goals to best suit your life as things come up.

I pray for, encourage, and try to offer a healing presence for individuals as they explore their spirituality. I help directees explore spiritual practices, grief/loss, vocation, and their questions around faith. I’m LGBTQIA+ inclusive.

I’m trained in the work of Brene Brown and it shows up in every facet of my work, especially spiritual direction, recovery coaching, speaking, and vocational coaching. I’m passionate about helping individuals practice shame resilience so they can receive healing.

I am excited to be a Subject Matter Expert at Tempest, doing workshops with members about a variety of topics!

I support people as they explore sobriety through modern recovery, in addition to working with community engagement and writing at Tempest!
