• Manage daily operations of Career Advising and Counseling practices including drop-in advising and counseling appointments.• Train and oversee 12 graduate students primarily from the counseling/psychology program(s) to serve as Career Advisors. • Serve as one of the Career Center Practicum/Intern site Supervisors for MS/EdS students in the Career Counseling and Mental Health Counseling Programs. • Supervise three Assistant Directors and one Program Associate. • Teach the SDS 3340 Career Development course for up to 30 students per section. • Act as office Co-Liaison to Advising First and Exploratory students.• Participate as an official Research Partner to the FSU Tech Center supporting research and articles facilitated by Center for the Student of Technology in Counseling and Career Development (FSU Tech Center).• Assist the Program Director with planning and implementing and strategic initiatives and research projects for the Career Advising, Counseling and Instruction Team.

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to identify interests, skills, strengths, values, and personality traits to select best educational and career path• Interpret Strong Interest Inventory, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, CliftonStrengths, and other self-assessments for students and alumni in individual, group, and class settings• Oversee office's Peer Career Advisor program involving training, managing, and supervising up to 10 undergraduate student employees • Supervise two professional Academic & Career Exploration Coaches• Coordinate the administration of up to seven sections each year of Counselor Ed 205: Exploring Major and Careers, teaching up to two sections a semester• Instruct a First-Year Studies course designed for exploratory students every fall semester• Educate up to 30 First-Year Studies Peer Mentors through a credit-bearing practicum course about leadership theory and practical tactics of management to support them to be successful in their mentorship role• Serve on department's leadership team and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making• Lead office Marketing Committee, oversee office social media accounts • Co-Lead the UTK Campus CliftonStrengths Facilitation Team to provide training for staff facilitators and coordinate efforts to give assessment and sessions to staff and students• Develop outreach initiatives, workshops, panels, networking events, and programs focused on career development topics for student groups and organizations • Create and maintain content for the career resource What Can I Do With This Major? • Serve alongside campus partners in roles such as Center for Leadership & Service Program Review Coordinator, Leadershape Cluster Facilitator, Alternative Spring Break Learning Partner, Ignite Staff Facilitator, Student Football Access Staff, and Division of Student Success and Division of Student Life Volunteer
