Economic Development Lethbridge strengthens and develops the Lethbridge economy by initiating and facilitating proactive economic development strategies and promoting Lethbridge as an excellent place to live, learn, invest, visit and do business. My role leads the execution of this mission with respect to developing programs and fostering partnerships necessary to make Lethbridge the destination of choice for target meetings and events.

Oversaw the marketing, sales, space utilization, delivery of contracted services to the customer, and coordination of services from various University departments. Developed and strengthened strategic partnerships in order to provide quality service to both internal and external customers. Created and implemented an annual business and marketing plan along with policies and procedures to streamline operations and increase revenue.

Created and maintained promotional materials and organized events for the Town of Vulcan. Developed relationships with tourist and marketing organizations, businesses, media and local service groups to provide updated information that resulted in business growth. Oversaw branding and development of innovative product concepts. Organized promotional events, working with media, vendors, VIP’s and the public. Responsible for the daily management and operations of the Vulcan Tourism & Trek Station.

Maintained, increased and reported on sales in corporate, government and association markets. Acted as representative for the company of 31 hotels at trade shows and during national and local sales blitzes. Participated in the development of the hotel strategic plan including the marketing budget and overall goals for the organization. Implemented and facilitated specialized training programs for hotel staff. Cultivated customer loyalty by providing anticipatory and integrity driven service.

Traveled to event locations and served as onsite delegate handling event set up and execution. Worked closely with all stakeholders including venues, networks, athletes, celebrities and international dignitaries to promote events and manage ticket sales.

Directed all aspects of theatre operations in a multi-venue professional performing arts center, including box office, front of house, parking and concessions.

Full responsibility for all backstage administrative functions required to implement events in the 2,500-seat Centennial Hall professional performing arts venue.
