I am a recently graduated Pharmacology and Immunology student looking for the ability to put the skills I have obtained during my degree into the working world. I am determined, focussed and eager to contribute to the scientific field. In Advanced Higher biology I completed a project on The Effect of Manuka Honey on Gram-VE Bacteria, as well as completing my dissertation in my final year of university on The use of Neuromodulation as a treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease using Deep Brain Stimulation. Both of these have allowed me to meticulously gather data while improving my practical skills for working in the laboratory. I also have an analytical and investigative mind, allowing me to assess medical literature while still having a commitment to life-long learning, allowing me to move with the fast-pace of change in the scientific field. I have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong team work skills and effective problem solving skills to work independently.
