After a term with the clinic I was invited back as a advanced patent intern. As an advanced intern, my role was analogous to a senior associate. I advised new interns, provided them with feedback, and managed my own caseload of patent applications and office actions.

Assisted staff attorneys with legal research and writing, evaluated claims for potential litigation and drafted complaints and sections of merits briefs.

I was a summer 2021 Intern with the NASA History Division at Headquarters. I carried out research about the history of Earth Science applications regarding water management at the agency. This involved talking with people throughout the agency about the work they have done, compiling resources, and writing a report on my findings. Additionally, I wrote an article that was published in the quarterly NASA History Newsletter.

As a STEM Ambassador, my job was to go into the community and schools to encourage kindergarten through high school students to pursue STEM careers. I also educated college students about the opportunities NASA and the Space Grant have for them and answered questions about the program. I worked with the team to manage our social media as well as collecting, creating, and distributing educator resources. This was a one-year position that I was chosen for in two consecutive years.
