I’m a freelance writer and editor based in Denton, Texas, specializing in narrative nonfiction and meticulous copy editing. In May 2017, I founded Russell Gibson Content to expand my individual freelance work into a talent agency for writers and editors, connecting talented professionals with opportunities that match their interests and expertise.At Russell Gibson Content, we match freelance writers, editors, and other multimedia storytellers with jobs that suit their experience and areas of specialization while seeking out work that makes their hearts happy. Our 70 contractors—from students to seasoned professionals—have expertise ranging from education and health to SEO and graphic design. This diversity of experience and skill helps us cater to clients with a range of budget and content needs. To combat the dearth of diversity in publishing, RGC proactively adjusts our practices toward more inclusivity, and will continue until we meet our goal of staff demographics reflecting those of the population.The difference between freelancing and joining the RGC team is that gigs come to you, client communication is taken care of, and you don't have to handle invoicing or chase down payments.
