Assists with the growth of the Ethics Committee, Ethics Consultation Service, Nursing Ethics Core Council, and Nurse Leader Ethics Fellowship as well as ethics education and programming for all HUP team members. Supports quality ethics consultations, staff education and policy development.

Managed the scheduling process for inpatient liquid, solid, transplant, and research oncology admissions to ensure accurate clinical prioritization. Designed and implemented systems to facilitate effective and comprehensive pre-admission processes. Worked collaboratively with the Admission Center, oncology physician and advanced practice services, and oncology nursing leadership.

Selected as 1 of 2 inaugural fellows. Completed a research study on moral distress in oncology nurses with mentorship from the Director and Manager of Nursing Research. Research led to publication in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing entitled “Moral Distress: Identification Among Inpatient Oncology Nurses in an Academic Health System.”

Cared for high-acuity inpatient oncology patients at a National Cancer Institute.
