Educator
Current- Design and facilitate quarterly trainings (both in-person and virtual) to 40+ teachers and administrators on web based assessment platform; serve as a reference person and liaison for staff; hold regular office hours.- Facilitate weekly collaboration with six grade level teachers and administrators to assess the impact and effectiveness of instructional strategies (measured by test data) to identify and prioritize high growth strategies.- Work closely with experienced senior program specialists to support the training needs of classroom teachers; positively influence, engage, and train teachers on current district initiatives.- Master Teacher: Coordinate with and support Sacramento State University and Cosumnes River College program supervisors to develop and retain highly skilled, competent, and motivated future teachers; identify candidate’s learning needs, knowledge, skill and ability gaps, and develop short and long-term development needs; mentor candidate with peer career coaching.- K-12 Assessment Steering Committee: Collaborate with K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, and district specialists to evaluate vendors and select a new district-wide assessment platform during the RFP process.- K-6 Math Instructional Materials Selection Committee: Collaborate with K-6 teachers, instructional coaches, and math specialists to evaluate and select two vendors for district-wide program pilot and future adoption.- ELA Assessment Design & Math Assessment Design Committees: Help design, review, and update district-wide assessments and procedures.- Serve on the Learn Fresh 2018 Educator Advisory Board to recruit and train new teachers in the NBA Math Hoops program and was named a Learn Fresh All-Star Educator.
