I was also the first woman to ever lead the Bonhams US Wine venue. My career "ah-ha!" moment arrived in March of 2014, during my time as Specialist with Heritage Auctions in Los Angeles. At a promotional dinner event we created for top clients, focusing on the esteemed private collection of an East Coast gentleman, we opened the evening with a side-by-side of 1971 Dom Pérignon and 1971 Dom Ruinart. The glass of Ruinart has never left my mind and is still the finest wine I've had to date. It was clear I'd chosen the right industry for my longterm career goals, hopefully one day expanding to international wine markets. I'm passionate about thinking outside of the box in an industry often handicapped by tradition, pushing to modernize tired practices like traditional work-with market visits and staff trainings to better suit current times.Outside of the wine industry, I'm an athlete across quad roller skating (with aspirations to jam skating), weight training and endurance sports. I consider myself a dedicated student of life - constantly reading books on a wide range of subjects from history to finance, experimenting in the kitchen to enhance my palate and cooking skills, and expanding my worldview through travel.
