The 31st Avenue Open Street in my neighborhood of Astoria, Queens is part of the NYC Open Streets program, run by the Mayor's Office and NYCDOT. As a volunteer beginning in 2020, I have helped coordinate community programming and maintenance of our space. We officially registered as an LLC in the beginning of 2023, and I now serve on the Board. The goal of our Open Street program is to provide more pedestrian space for residents in a neighborhood that lacks easy access to nearby parks, and bring people together through fun, interactive and inclusive programming. Hill Communications is our student-run public relations firm at Syracuse University. As an Account Supervisor, I planned a brand awareness campaign on campus for a student start-up company, Brand-Yourself.com, and oversaw a team of 8 people for its implementation. Developed their media kit, wrote press releases, contacted and pitched stories to local media outlets and assisted with events, securing their first feature with the Syracuse Post-Standard newspaper.

Responsible for the orientation of a small group of incoming freshman each fall. Assisted with scheduling conflicts, degree requirements, transitioning and getting involved on campus. My groups met periodically throughout the year and I served as a mentor and resource for my advisees.

Responsible for planning/scheduling events, logging constituent calls, press clippings and media reports, attending press conferences/events to assist with logistics, and writing special reports on critical issues in the Central New York region.

Served on the staff of ListenUp, a youth editorial page appearing in the newspaper once a month. Owing to my columns in ListenUp, I was also hired to write a series of articles about high school proms, which were featured weekly in March/April 2005.
