Served as Director of Government Affairs for Qualcomm Inc. Responsible for initiatives focused on building a diverse and innovative workforce in fields related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Lead for Qualcomm® Thinkabit Lab™, a combination makerspace and classroom for students from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Led the day-to-day operations, expansion efforts and community outreach within the educational ecosystem. Drove the lab’s expansion to more than 15 sites across the U.S., including a collaboration with Virginia Tech on a Thinkabit Lab in the National Capital Region and the University of Michigan in their downtown Detroit Michigan Engineering Zone. Expanded this program further, both in locations and in STEM exposure for new learners, using Qualcomm initiatives such as Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and Smart Cities. Led Qualcomm’s international and U.S.-based Women Enhancing Technology (WeTech) program with the Institute of International Education. Worked closely with public and private organizations to link girls and women to innovative opportunities that inspire, engage and support them for entrance and success in technology careers. STEM education lead for Qualcomm's Sustainability and Reporting Committee.

Served as Senior Manager of Government Affairs for Qualcomm Incorporated, managed Qualcomm’s Wireless Reach™ initiatives in Southeast Asia, and supported programs in Africa and India. Created strategic and sustainable projects in collaboration with public-private partners to bring wireless technology to underserved communities globally. Focused on fostering entrepreneurship (especially women micro-entrepreneurs), aiding in public safety, enhancing the delivery of health care, enriching teaching and learning, and improving environmental sustainability. Led Wireless Reach’s global marketing / event efforts, including the Annual Wireless EdTech conference on the Hill in D.C. and Convergence of Women, Technology, and Innovation Event, and spearheaded the annual funding proposal process.

Developed and executed event strategy and portfolio plan for business to business and consumer related events in the wireless and media/entertainment industries, established criteria for effective evaluation of a multitude of events and measured/tracked success. Managed all corporate events, sponsorships, press conferences, speakerships, technology demonstrations, industry tradeshows, partner activities and internal events. Event management included: budgetary and strategic planning, contract negotiation, event execution, measurement and assessment, booth build, signal testing, executive and team member briefings, staff training on key messaging, graphic production, hotel and transportation coordination, shipping/logistics, conference registration and more.Created and maintained event dashboard to track level of involvement in numerous activities and produce reports listing show dates, locations, number of attendees, target audiences, speaking &/or demonstration opportunities. Communicated event plans/reports with Executive Management and worked together closely to execute and ensure positive company image created.Interacted regularly with corporate marketing and business divisional teams, including public relations and legal groups to ensure consistency in messaging, content, demonstrations and overall coordination. Excelled in delivering presentations and trainings to full range of audiences from Engineering to the Executive Team.

Led the development of the Qualcomm MEMS Technology brand (logos, illustrations, photography) and collateral (brochures, white papers, data sheets). Directed the development and design of the Qualcomm MEMS Technologies Intranet site and the TeamSite version of the external Website by editing Flash pieces, copy and links.Designed marketing demonstration area in a new fab site building. Produced/delivered various presentations, collaborated on product videos and created and maintained division style guide. Managed all partner events, sponsorships, speakerships, demonstrations and industry tradeshows, and internal events.

Conducted training needs assessment, initiated year long training goals, and developed new programs to target specific objectives. Trained executives, managers, and new hire orientations on business skills, customer service, continuous improvement and Human Resource related topics.Researched, developed, and conducted sales training to enhance negotiating and closing the deal skills.
