At Brightworks Sustainability, my role as Director of Financial Management is responsible for contributing to the financial success of the company by working with the senior leadership team, as well as the organization at large, to collaboratively build upon and execute on the long-term vision for Brightworks.In this role, I work closely with the Managing Director on accounting, financial and business mattersaffecting the operation and/or direction of the Company and participate in all financial planningmatters.In addition to firmwide financial matters, much of my role is focused on overseeing and directing Project Accounting related activities and priorities from commencement of the project to completion, This is in partnership with the consultant team toward proper tracking, updating, reporting, and management of project performance to ensure project and firm profitability.

At Ziba Design, my role was accounting team member and primary backup for the CFO. In addition to full responsibility on all matters around project accounting, my role was also responsible for the majority of all other accounting entries for multiple companies under the same ownership. I worked directly with the Project Managers and Account Directors to review and support project setup, interpret contracts from a billing and cost perspective, monitor accounts receivable balances, etc. I also assisted with system training for new members of our ERP system, Deltek Vantagepoint, along with general management and implementation of the system.

As Accounting Manager, I reported directly to the Managing Partner and worked closely with the remaining partners. My main responsibilities involved handling all financial functions except for preparing the annual tax returns. Additional responsibilities included the majority of the Firm's HR coordination and administration, including 401k plan administration.

My role was accounting team member and primary backup for the CFO. In addition to general accounting tasks, my duties included setup of new projects and phases in the ERP system (Deltek Vision) and ensuring they coincided with contract terms. Assisted with setup of billing terms, billing rate review, billing classifications and worked with Project Managers to coordinate and process monthly client invoices. Monitored Accounts Receivable balances and worked with client reps to ensure timely payment and processing, as well as tracking consultant invoices with consultant reps to ensure proper formatting and timely payment. Provided reports to Project Managers as requested and assisted with reporting and tracking of fees; tracked and adjusted project budgets as needed. Assisted with the setup and maintenance of project work plans in Vision.

Handled all office duties including A/P, A/R, payroll processing, vendor management, newsletters, website and social media maintenance, bank reconciliations, human resources, new employee on-boarding, business license applications/renewals & correspondence. Responsible for maintaining & advancing the company’s sustainability initiatives, including data collection for Bonneville Environmental Foundation carbon offset certificates & the application for B Corporation certification.

Provided administrative support to the President. Handled all office duties including A/P, A/R, payroll processing, project coordination, client contracts, change orders, spreadsheets, & bank reconciliations. Also provided subcontractor management, human resource services, marketing, business license applications/renewals & correspondence. Spearheaded the company’s successful, luxury vacation rental business-including the initial start-up, licensing, guest inquiries, vendor communications, and online listing setup and maintenance. Implemented 'greener' business practices including recycling and energy saving programs. Travel coordination and event planning for company related activities.

Administrative Assistant - Performed all administrative duties to assist owner including A/P, A/R, bank deposits and filing. Currently still work for this company remotely doing bulk mailings for HOA membership management on a quarterly basis.

As lead hostess, my responsibilities included greeting & showing customers to their respective tables in both the bistro & the fine dining restaurants. Answer/return phone calls, help prepare for events, take reservations using Open Table, train new employees, and so on.
