--Managed a comprehensive annual parent fundraising program, working in collaboration with other offices within Advancement to meet the College’s annual fund objectives for dollars raised. Bates Parents Fund reached a record $1.44 million in FY12.--Identified, cultivated, solicited, and stewarded a portfolio of leadership gift prospects with the capacity to make gifts in excess of $100,000.--Recruited, cultivated, and supported Parents Fund Committee members. Directed and supported their peer solicitations and cultivation activities, in collaboration with Leadership Giving Team and Alumni and Parent Engagement office. --Collaborated with offices and faculty across campus, identifying opportunities to strengthen parent engagement and support.

--Engaged in marketing and recruitment for Japan Study, a nationally-known study abroad program at Waseda University in Japan, at ACM and GLCA colleges. --Spearheaded new initiatives in alumni relations and fundraising among Japanese Studies alumni of Earlham College. --Taught applied art courses in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Served as academic adviser for Japanese Studies majors. --Served as director of the SICE study abroad program in Morioka, Japan. --Managed recruitment and selected candidates for Earlham's Morioka ALT program.

• Managed overseas bureau operations as member of rotating team. During extended surge period, coordinated with headquarters and local Japanese staff to meet high-level government customers' needs while balancing resources and staff welfare. Repeatedly recognized for crisis-management skills, receiving two Exceptional Performance Awards (EPA). • Project manager for pilot foreign media knowledge website based on Wikipedia, determined structure and rules of the road for site. Appointed, advised, and provided technical assistance to pilot team members, leading to successful launch of site within one-month deadline. Recognized with EPA.• Regularly briefed chairman of National Intelligence Council.
