Growing up, I always loved creating things. I wrote a lot in my free time, spawning several stories, as well as a lot of personal writing in an online journal in my teens. Through this online blogging community, I learned some of my first basic HTML, edited blog layouts, and eventually created my first personal websites for my favorite Japanese manga and anime at the time.My love for creating eventually brought me to Western Michigan University, where I earned a degree in creative writing; however, as time passed and I spent a lot of my free time working with computers, I found myself wanting to branch out more into the tech world. I started by getting an AS in IT, but the web design course was the class I enjoyed my most in my time there. We delved into the actual code more and more as the class progressed, and I found it was something I still really enjoyed. After a move to southern California, intending to officially enter the IT world professionally, I heard about an opportunity to enroll in a web development training program, and jumped right in. I am now excited to move into the web development world professionally and officially change careers.
