Hi there! I'm Erinn. I have always been an avid reader and writer, constantly absorbing and creating stories. I found myself a bit lost in my first year of college, and one day I called my mother to cry that I wanted to drop out of school, travel the world, and be a writer. "Why don't you study writing?" she replied. So... I did. I earned my Bachelor's in English with a focus on creative writing. But my knowledge felt one sided, so I packed up and moved across the country to study English and American Literature at NYU. I met my husband, moved to South Carolina, and decided to pour my love of language into the next generation. I began my teaching career during the beginning of the pandemic and taught my first year, 7th grade English, completely online. I transitioned to the classroom for two years teaching 6th grade English and developed months of original curriculum content along the way. I earned an endorsement certificate in Gifted and Talented Education, which taught me to see intelligence in a whole new way. But for all of the reasons I loved teaching, I also ended up feeling completely burnt out. I left the classroom and joined WalletHub as a staff writer. I'm a dreamer, a visionary, a creative soul, and I've got the language skills to bring my creative visions to life through engaging, delightful, effective communication. Every day, I learn more and more about search engine optimization, research practices, and reader engagement. I'm so excited to see where my language journey takes me!
